Just got an XLT Ranger 2WD SuperCrew and I love it! I test drove 2019 Tacoma trd 4x4 too but it felt slow. The windshield seemed small, like a letterbox movie kinda. Coming from an 01 f150 lariat 4x4 this thing is fast. The bells and whistles Ford put on this thing continue to amaze me. Got a certified pre owned so hopefully nothing breaks down the road but oh man, the interior, the gas mileage and the POWER!! A+++ I love starting it with my phone, lane assist is a huge plus. Sport mode makes it even faster. The gas saving mode at lights is hardly noticeable, it gets such good Gas mileage. So happy!

I wanted to downside from my F150 so I went to look at mid size trucks. When comparing the top 5, I decided on the Ranger. Not because I had a Ford before, but because I felt I was picking the best truck. The ranger had the best interior layout and quality, the others felt more dated. It has great tech features mixed with manual buttons which I prefer. I like the size on the interior cab since I was specifically wanting to downsize, it has a more cozy feel then my F150. The transmission does shift harder, but the ride is comfortable and smooth so this didn't deter me away. It gets great gas mileage for a truck it's size.

I'm 71 and been through quite a few new vehicles, five Subarus, one Saturn and four pickups. This Ranger is probably my favorite of them all. Traded a 2013 Ford F150 STX with the V8 engine and this 4 cylinder outperforms that truck in acceleration and performance and by far in gas mileage. I'm hitting the quoted mileage and sometimes even more. It has a good solid ride and excellent handling. I got the XLT with the 302A package in Saber and love all the features. Could go into them but too many to list them all here. Don't know of any other truck in this price range with both front seats being 8 way power. I have received numerous compliments on both the exterior and the interior. Recently while gassing up someone who had a nearly new Nissan truck came over to check it out and even said how much nicer the Ranger is both outside and inside than his truck. The Ford Pass app is also an extra bonus with all it's convenience features. With my phone I can start and stop the engine, lock and unlock the doors, check fuel level, tire pressure, see vehicle location and some other features as well.
